"Niggas talk shit but that ain't my steel
I am the type of nigga to put lead in your grill"
I am going to let you in on a little secret, I mutter that line in my head sometimes when I am feeling particularly bad ass at the moment. I say this one out loud, "If you want beef then bring the ruckus, Wu Tang Clan ain't nothing to fuck with."

No not the singer bitches, the book. Here's an excerpt:
At the beginning of his rule, he attacked Granada, and that enterprise was the cornerstone of his reign. For some time he carried on the siege in a leisurely way, and without any outside distractions; he kept all the barons of Castille preoccupied with it, and while they were thinking of the war, they never considered the changes he was making in the state. Thus he acquired reputation and authority over them without their being aware of it. Money from the Church and the people enabled him to recruit big armies, and in the course of this long war to build a military establishment which as since won him much honor. Apart from this, he made use of the pretext of religion to prepare for still greater projects... On the same pretext, he attacked Africa, he carried out a campaign in Italy; and finally he assaulted France. Thus he has always been planning and carrying out some great design which has enthralled and preoccupied the minds of his subjects, and kept them fascinated with the outcome of his schemes. And his various projects have risen one out of the other, so that they never allowed men leisure to take concerted action against him.
Notice the words I highlighted? Replace them with some choice words of your own, and what you get is the striking similiarity of our current situation with Mr. Bush.

"Da Funk" and "Harder Better Faster Stronger" are the most banging house/electronica shit I've ever heard, I can't believe I never heard of Daft Punk until a month ago.

Here's an interesting film about the concept of money and how it affects the generation today. The series of short interview offers insightful thoughts into how kids deal with the issue of money thru their own personal experience. It's fascinating because I never understood how some people could say "Money can't buy Happiness". To me, the people who say that are the ones who are in denial, and those who don't got no dough. There are too many people that got it twisted out there, and I realize that's the reason for Mo Money Mo Problems. It's these individuals who are making that money for all the wrong reasons, the ones who want that paper to show off, the ones who thinks money makes the man/woman, the ones who uses it for their own personal gratifications. Money ain't the root of all evil, it's the people who are evil.
I get real intellectual with a little help from Mary Jane, my main thing.
Here's a little mixtape I put together diggin thru the online crates, just tryin to bring some flava to your ears.
1. Kool and the Gang- Summer Madness
2. The Beginning of the End- When She Made Me a Promise (Sampled on intro of T.R.O.Y)
3. Club Nouveau- Why You Treat Me So Bad (Sampled on I Got 5 on It- Luniz)
4. Herb Alpert- Rise (Sampled on Hypnotize- Biggie Smalls)
5. Isley Brothers- Footsteps In the Dark (Sampled on Today was a Good Day- Ice Cube)
6. Oliver Sain- On the Hill (Sampled on Young g's Perspective- Biggie Smalls)
7. Charmels- As Long as I've Got You (Sampled on C.R.E.A.M- Wu Tang Clan)
8. Tom Scott- Today (Sampled on T.R.O.Y- Pete Rock & C.L. Smooth)

I've been having some weird dreams lately, like some jedi mind tricks and vision of gandhi type of shit... Dreams of the past, of the present, of the future. Regrets for what could've been and should be. All I gotta say is "Goddamn homie, my mind is playing tricks on me".

Official mixtape from Kanye West. Ya the dude is egotistical but can you blame him? He makes good music. The mixtape got a bunch of old school soul that he used to sampled for his songs. I think too many people are too focused on the new shit that comes out they forget about where it all came from; the history, the roots. When I hear a new joint I always try to name the song or songs that was used to sample for the beat, it's like a game I play to keep my memory from decay. Cause reefer will do that to you... And if you don't know, now you know.

Yes that's right, free toys. Print it out on paper then put it together, it's pretty dope. Courtesy of Japanese designer Shin Tanaka, he also provides a template so you can design your own. Check it out here.

Not only did I find a Bill Withers album, I found four. I will post them all up... eventually. I am still trying to enjoy all the albums I "appropriated" staying up all night. No school till summer classes starts in two weeks, finished my job interview that couldn't go any better, sleep all day and stay up all night, going to Riverside this weekend to visit and maybe blaze one up. Damn it feels good to be a gangster. This upload is for you Petey.

I can't go to sleep! If it was up to me, I wouldn't sleep at night anyways. I function better at night, I guess I am nocturnal.
It's like 3am and shit, and I got mad thoughts in my head. Like... how many fucking collabos these dudes in the streetwear industry going to do? Everyday I read about 15 collabos these cats done did with these other dudes... Check out freshness and hypebeast right now and you'll see what I mean. I thought it was tight when it all started, but it's just getting out of hand now. Does anybody even find collabos exciting anymore?

I was reading hypebeast when I came across this from Mishka NYC, it's interesting to see how they come up with the designs that they do. Design Discectomy.

If Wu Tang is forever? I am one of the biggest Wu Tang fan. No I don't have every single one of their albums but I love their music, their style, their philosophies; and with the beats and the rhymes, they always on point. If you know Wu Tang then you know why they ain't nothing to fuck with. With Only Built 4 Cuban Linx II coming out, it's only proper to share with y'all two of my favorite albums.
The one that started it all: Enter the 36 Chambers

And I got my act together, 'Lo sweaters and better
and fat leather, so whatever, bring it on
